CLIENT: MAGELLANIA

Magellania is a boutique tour agency that specialises in finding and curating the best experiences for those that want the best, because they’ve seen the rest.

As competition grows in the high-end expedition industry, so do your needs to differentiate your brand by putting your knowledge and expertise front and center.

With a heavy emphasis in positioning the brand in the luxury travel category, we developed a simple, impactful and outstanding brand system for usage on digital and printed media, as well as digital assets like brochures and a striking website.

The brief was to create a simple, easily recognisable logo that told -and design system for their business, which has primarily online touchpoints. Following the logo, online brochures were developed as well as their TOV with a simple, elegant and functional website that ties their online experience together.

The solution was to integrate the three core concepts of EXPERTISE, SIMPLICITY and EXCLUSIVITY.

By working on a simple wordmark, with overlaid masts and terminals from the classic Optima font, a sense of discovery and mountanous terrain soon appears.

 

This understated yet distinctive mark drives the point home with the brand's slogan "bespoke travels & expeditions". This phrase, carefully crafted by copywriter Toby Williams, puts emphasis on the custom-made nature of the company's offerings, in itself a luxury experience. "Expeditions" is used to evoke a sense of adventure and discovery.

Magellania currently attracts clients from all over the world who want expert guides and unforgettable experiences. Starting at over USD $4,000, their service and results are amongst the most exclusive and successful in the area.

Besides a fully comprehensive brand book and style guides, I helped deliver a simple yet standout website that enables the client to manage their bookings and showcase their expertise. Other collateral has been added over time, as it is an ongoing collaboration.
